…… I've been meaning to write you--they were astonishingly beautiful, and my cousin and I walked in 45 minutes after they arrived--they were still boxed--and when I pulled them out of the box, I was dumbfounded. I've NEVER seen leis transport that beautifully!! “My island-born 92-year old aunt suffers with Alzheimer's Disease, and is largely unresponsive . I had no way of knowing how her senses were receiving our presence or the presentation of the maile especially. But when one of the caregivers (who loves my aunt) asked her, back in her bedroom, if she wanted the leis put in the refrigerator, out of seemingly nowhere, my aunt said "Keep them here. I'll sprinkle water on them." So I think the feel of the maile leaves against her neck and the scent of the tuberose were an incredible experience for her. When I left, they were draped over a TV at the foot of her bed. When my cousin and I left after her birthday, sitting in her wheelchair, wearing her leis, she looked really, really proud. YOU....are GOOD!!! Mahalo for creating an unforgettable experience, and I will never ever underestimate the impact of the sense of smell and the sensation of a maile leaf against a person's neck AGAIN!! You ability to gauge the timing, the aging of the flowers and the wear and tear of travel are impeccable. I cannot thank you enough…..”
